What is Pat testing ?

Pat testing is essentially the in service, inspecting and testing of electrical portable appliances to ensure that the electrical safety is not compromised while the equipment is in service.

Why Pat Test ?

Electrical Equipment Testing (Pat Testing) has been a legal requirement for all employers in Ireland since 2001.

Testing:

In relation to testing portable electrical equipment, the main purpose of such testing is to demonstrate that the equipment retains its electrical safety parameters. Tests included visual, earth continuity, Insulation resistance & earth leakage.
