By law, all businesses should have a fire detection system. The safest way to deal with fire is to prevent it and this is what the fire alarm system does. In Ireland, business owners are obligated to follow the fire alarm standards and provide a safe place of work. I.S. 3218  is the standard for fire alarm systems and it covers both commercial and domestic systems.  Annual testing and servicing is usually part of the terms for insurance policies and a requirement by the fire officer.

At Joe Wall Electrical we cater to new fire alarm systems and existing systems that undergo modifications and alterations or extensions. We can offer a full maintenance contract or service specific to your workplace.  All works are carried out in accordance with the latest I.S. 3218:2013+A1:2019 Standards.

Service Contracts

• 4 visits per year
• Provide service schedule
• Ensure each detector is checked for correct operation in accordance with manufacturers recommendations
• All manual call points checked for correct operation and ability of the device to correctly communicate a fire signal to the control panel
• Visual inspection to confirm all cable fittings and equipment are secure, undamaged and adequately protected
• Required sound levels are achieved during a fire evacuation drill
• Annual certificate of servicing/testing with validity/expiry date
